CERTH presented LIFE Biomass C+ at EUBCE 2019, Lisbon

In the 27th European Biomass Conference & Exhibition (EUBCE 2019), Prof. Chatzidoukas, on behalf of CERTH, presented a paper explaining the fermentable glucose-rich stream through the optimal enzymatic hydrolysis of the starch and cellulose fraction of the Typha domigensis plant biomass. The number of attendants of the presentation was about 60 to 70. The topic of the session was ‘Biomass conversion technologies for liquid and gaseous fuels, chemicals and materials’, and the subtopic was ‘Bio-alcohols from lignocellulosic biomass and pretreatment’ (session 3BO.3.2). Prof. Chatzidoukas explained the scientific innovation, the preliminary results and conclusions of the enzymatic hydrolysis of starch.
