Mission accomplished! Bioethanol is ready!
After almost five years of hard work, experiments, studying, cultivating, harvesting and processing of the cattails, and despite all the difficulties that occurred (COVID-19, harsh weather conditions) our struggles have rewarded. The roots and rhizomes that were produced in Greece and Spain were successfully converted to bioethanol at CARTIF’s facilities! The bioethanol has already been transferred to HELPE’s facilities, in order to produce biofuel.
We are just a month before the official ending of the project and very satisfied to have achieved our goals.
