We keep working on the implementation of the GFFs in Zorita de los Canes

Volterra team keeps working on the implementation of green filters in “Zorita de los Canes” (Guadalajara). More than 1000 Thypas, provided by UPM, were incorporated into the water of this old fish farm.

Volterra is working on covering 140m2, the size of this pool. Different concentrations of greywater from the village are discharged into the pool.  These plants will have many purposes. They will purify the water thanks to these green floating filters, and once they have grown, the plants will bring more biodiversity to the area. At the same time, the biomass will be collected for its subsequent transformation into biofuel.
