Monitoring activities for Biomass C+ 2022 cultures in Greece

On Friday 9th of September 2022, CERTH team visited the Municipal Sewage lagoons of Vegora in the Region of Western Macedonia, Greece, to check on the established GFFs and the cattails grown on them. Two months after they were installed, Typhas grew rapidly and very few didn’t manage to survive. These results are very promising for an adequate production of biomass and, subsequently, bioethanol, this year. Harvesting is expected to take place incoming months, so there is still plenty of time for the cattails to grow even more. Stay tuned for more news!
