New maintenance works in chicken farm floating filters

Last year's pool system with green floating filters was harvested at the end of 2019 and continued in the 2020 season. Due to COVID-19 we had not been back but this week we did maintenance work. The surroundings were cleaned with a brush cutter to help in the prevention of forest fires. As the pictures show the Typha plants have grown back quite strongly. Only in the first basin did we find a leak that will need to be repaired.

We were particularly pleased to see the colonisation of the alternative floating filters from partner Ecovative from the US. These wood-mycelium based panels have withstood well the winter and keep floating similar to the conventional panels (see below 2 pictures).
